BLOG Edition#2 2021

Hello...Hello...Hello...

... and ZOOM ! The month of February whips on by seemingly at the speed of light... I definitely feel there has been a shift in energy and mood. The impossibly beautiful sunshine of the past few days has helped enormously together with the brighter mornings and lighter evenings, the daffs and snowdrops that seem to have pinged up all over the place plus the planned roadmap out of lockdown... I feel much more bouncy than I have for a while... like a grizzly bear emerging from hibernation ! I can see events are tentatively being scheduled for later in the year so I need to begin thinking about what to do... It's now been one whole year since I have traded at an indoor event... this time last year I was perched at the ScruffyDogStall at MKHandmade & Vintage... feels like a thousand lifetimes ago. How do I feel about being perched behind my stall surrounded by heaps of people again... right now... My tummy does a small nervous flip... I am quite surprised how I feel, but I think I just need to accept it, make plans, go with the flow and hope my confidence being out and about returns fast. I am sure I am not alone in how I feel... I did do a couple of outdoor Pop-Up-Shop days in the build up to Christmas and it really brought home to me how much we need that personal connection... It's amazing how a cheery hello or a warm smile can make you feel on the inside... and now, more than ever we all need to look out for each other...

I've really enjoyed taking part in the #makersathome2021 28Day Challenge... Hope you have enjoyed reading it ! Gave me a chance to give a snapshot of ScruffyDog life during this weird time... was definitely good fun and I have bumped into a heap of new likeminded folks along the way.

Thanks to everyone who took part in my recent giveaway to help celebrate Muffin's 14th Birthday ! Ah she had the BEST day I think ! We certainly wore her out !!! We don't need much of an excuse to have a bit of fun and a slice of cake here ! Took me quite by surprise the number of shares and recommendations I got... bit overwhelming to be honest, it means alot... and without question this is gold-dust to a small business like mine... Happy words from smiley people... it's invaluable... same as the snap, tag & shares you send in for #wearingmyscruffydogsilver... authentic photos from real people. I love to see them ! Please keep them coming in.

Ordinarily now I would list a bunch of dates where you could find me over the next few months ! Alas... the diary remains empty. The online ScruffyDogShop is the place to be ! Grab a brew and a biscuit and have a browse... it gets topped up with fresh makes on a regular basis... lots of old favourites and a smattering of one-off designs to keep things exciting and fresh... Lastly... Lockdown has been a strange old time for so many reasons... but every cloud and all that... Mr D has been creative in the kitchen and has stumbled over the very best breakfast in the world ever... Plums on Toast !!! Its sticky, buttery, sugary, vanilla and cinnamony... It's absolutely out of this world !!! I highly recommend if you fancy a little treat !!!



I miss you folks ! Slight trepidation apart, I really do hope to be back business as normal in the not too distant future... Pawscrossed!
