HELLO !!!!

Been a while since I scribbled a blog !

March was the last one !!! And now it's JUNE !!! Where does time go ! So much has been happening here at ScruffyDogHQ that I often don't have a chance to stop and chatter in a more formal manner ! BUT... Today I am determined to get this chap ticked off the almighty To Do List !

So what's has been happening ! Well actually... quite a lot !!!
In no particular order... I am just going blurt it all out !

Sent a heap of silverwork to Zeath Gallery in Polzeath, North Cornwall where it will spend the summer season perched a step away from the beach... If you happen to be down there, please pop in and say Hello and grab a cuppa and something delicious to munch from the Tubestation Surf Lounge & Cafe next door!

Don't forget you can also find me at the Katie Goddard Gift Shop in Olney... something a little more local !  There is always a heap of your favourite designs housed inside the ScruffyDogCabinet !

I've done 7 events since last chattered... and of those 5 were brand new venues for me to try out which was fabulously exciting... a mix of the more traditional table top events to trading out the back of my VW campervan at Street Food markets and not forgetting DogFest... where I even got to judge the 'Best Beard' competition, Muffin and Lolly were with me that day which was brilliant... and Lolly even came 4th in the 'Golden Oldie' competition... What a smashing time that was !!!! Never a dull day, always a fabulous time had, new friends and connections made, and lots of new tricks learnt. I simply love getting out and about with my work.




I won a Small Business Sunday award from Theo Paphitis... he of Dragons Den fame... He does an awful lot to help support small business and the share to his 500K followers on Twitter sure put a large rocket into the ScruffyDogSocials ! I then got a shout out in our local paper and again - heaps of new connections made locally with other businesses... Behind the scenes it's been really busy making sure I make the most of these opportunities that I have stumbled across. It has made my head spin quite frankly...


Some wonderful soul has nominated ScruffyDog for the 'Best Jeweller' category in the NorthantsLife 2023 Awards... Giant thanks to everyone who has since voted... Just waiting to hear more news on this... But to be nominated means the absolute world to me !!! This is another first for ScruffyDog.



I have sent ScruffyDogParcels to the Chattahoochee Hills in Georgia, and Southern California across the pond... and even over to New Zealand as well as every corner of the UK... When you stop to think about it... it really is mindboggling ! From The Shed in Northampton to places on this planet I am unlikely to visit myself. It's an extraordinary feeling which pennies cannot buy... this is why I love what I do !   You folks really have kept me busy with a whole host of commission requests... some really really challenging ones too... I have a whole bunch of things to sketch out, my next job on the list... this is how any requests starts... with a scribble or a sketch... My head works better in pictures...  Leadtime on complicated requests that need hallmarking too is 6 weeks minimum... small pieces I can turnaround much more quickly.



Then... THE BIGGEST thing to happen was the much awaited arrival of FUDGE... the newest recruit to ScruffyDogHQ... at the time of writing this, I have young Fudge stealing socks off my clothes airer.. she has been here 11days already... she has infused our household with chaotic puppy energy and giggles... she is a real character let me tell you... she has fitted in so well... Not alot has been done since... I can't stop watching all 3 together... watching their relationship grow... She herself is growing so fast... I am soaking up every single second.

Here she is !  I now have treble trouble !!!
