ScruffyDog was established back in 2011… it has grown from a hobby to a partly part-time job and is now a full-time enterprise as redundancy from the ‘day job’ finally happened... I have since taken this opportunity and run and I'm not going to stop… I have to see what can happen next !  It allows my creative side to run wild and get messy.   I have always been a maker of ‘things’… but in working with silver I have found something very special…

All my work is designed, crafted, carefully hand finished, wrapped and despatched by me… The little things are just as important… all my packaging comes from a sustainable source and can be recycled again.

I like to use only sterling silver… sometimes mixed up with copper and sometimes a splash of gold.  I am registered with the Birmingham Assay Office.

Lastly I often get asked... Why the name Scruffy Dog?  Well... that's easy... I rebranded my then fledgling business back in 2011 as a tribute to my first dog… my beloved Bearded Collie BadgerBear… she was very much an old soul in a furry coat...  Since then there has been the most beautiful Muffin & crazy Lollypop and these days I share my world with other Beardie, a pup called Fudge… all from the same family line… She too loves to spend time with me in The Shed… often fast asleep under the bench getting sprinkled in silver dust !
